Mrs. Irene Sieting, 76, of Alma, formerly of Kalkaska, died Nov 4, 1998, in Mission, Texas.
Mrs. Sieting was born in Greenville on Mar 3, 1922, the daughter of the late Hugh and Bertha Fries Nave. On Jun 7, 1941, in Kalkaska, she was united in marriage with Walter D Sieting.
Mrs. Sieting spent her early years in Kalkaska, and resided in Alma for many years prior to retirement. Following retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling with their motor home. She was a member of the Excelsior Church of Christ, and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are husband Walter; son Walter D (Sharon) Sieting, Jr of Kalkaska; daughters Carolyn (Gaylord) Hundey of Vestaburg and Elnora (David) VanderVeen of Alma; brother Charles (Louella) Nave of Brownfield, TX; sister Katherine Nave of Grayling; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Sister Charlene Rice, brothers Roy and Hugh (Bud) Nave, and granddaughter Adriane Sieting preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Nov 9 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Jeff Badgero officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
