Mrs. Irene M Cross, 95, of Manton, died Wed, Feb 19, 1992 at her residence.
Mrs. Cross had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County until moving to Manton. She was a member of the Excelsior Church of Christ, and enjoyed traveling, reading, and crocheting.
Mrs. Cross was born in Fife Lake on Jul 29, 1896, daughter of the late Alpheus and Lillian Wright Nash. On Oct 2, 1916, in Traverse City, she was united in marriage with Guy Cross who preceded her in death on Feb 19, 1973.
Two sons, Keith and Kenneth and one daughter, Verle, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Clinton Cross of Brimley, Gerald Cross of Kalkaska, and Larry Cross of Long Beach, CA; four daughters, Merle Huff of Marshall, Ardis Watson of Kalkaska, Virginia Watson of Williamsburg, and Eileen Rattray of Manton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and several cousins.
Funeral services were held Mon, Feb 24, 1992, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Jeff Badgero officiated. Burial will be in Excelsior Township Cemetery in the spring.
