Mrs. Irene Lund, 87, of Fife Lake, died Sat, Feb 15, 1992, at Bortz Health Care in Traverse City.
Mrs. Lund spent her early years in Kalkaska County, and then lived in Bay City and Virginia prior to returning to Kalkaska County in 1987. She attended Ferris State University, and taught in the Kalkaska and Traverse City areas. She was a member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and her family.
Mrs. Lund was born in Kalkaska County on Sep 28, 1904 to William and Laura Dagle Eves.
Surviving are three sons, Harold Lund of Fife Lake, Duane Lund of Clare, and Walter Lund of Kissimmee, FL; one daughter, Barbara Close of Lynchburg, VA; one brother, Merle Eves of Kalkaska; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
One brother, Marvin and two sisters, Ione and Bernice, preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Wed, Feb 19, 1992 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Jones, pastor of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
