Irene D. Carlson, 90, Roscommon, died Oct. 25, 2003, at Grayling Mercy Hospital.
The Rev. Wiley Morris will officiate a service at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carlson was born Dec. 13, 1912, in Beaverton. She was the daughter of Harry and Carrie (Drake) Fourney. She and Horace Scott were married in 1929; he preceded her in death in 1943. She and Raymond Carlson were married Aug. 10, 1945, in Flint; he preceded her in death in 1989.
Before moving to Houghton Lake in 1953, she lived in Flint. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Also predeceased were her parents; and four brothers, Robert, William, Harry and Lester.
Surviving Mrs. Carlson are her son, Duane and wife Mary Lou Scott of Roscommon; step-son, Rex and wife Barbara Carlson of Mio; step-daughter, Ruth and husband Denzel Dockery of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two sisters, Effie Selander and Katherine Ferguson, both of Prudenville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
