Iola Pearl Adair, age 82, of Elsie, MI, died Fri, Mar 6, 2009 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.
Iola was born in Paw Paw, MI on August 23, 1926, the daughter of Dale A. and Ruby M (Fisher) Levey. She resided in the Elsie area and she attended Elsie Schools.
Iola married Donald E. Adair in 1958 at the Duplain Church of Christ.
Iola worked for Federal Mogul Corporation where she was an inspector for 30 years until her retirement in 1988.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Adair of Elsie, MI; three daughters, Judy Sodman of Deltona, FL, Ruby Dennis of St. Johns, and Margie and Doug Boak of St. Johns; one son, Allen and Joan Adair of Elsie; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Elisabeth Levey of Elsie, Eunice Tiedt of ST. Johns, Beverly Vargus of CA, Margaret and Don Wright of Traverse City, Jackie Brock of Cadillac, Ann Adair of Perry, MI, and Eddie and Carol George of ST. Johns, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Dale Levey Jr; two brothers in law, Keith Tiedt, and Raymond Adair; sister in law, Joan Lott and one grandson, Dale Joseph Adair.
Funeral services were at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel, Elsie, Mar 9. Chuck Emmert, minister, officiated. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie.
