Mrs. Ilse Andrews, 55, of Marquette, died Wed, Sep 10, 1997, at University Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Mrs. Andrews had accompanied her husband on various military assignments, and resided in Converse, TX until 13 years ago when she moved to the Marquette area. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and Neferette Temple No. 110 of Marquette. She enjoyed reading and charity work.
Born in Gilesenkerchen, Germany on Aug 23, 1942, she was the daughter of Heinrich and Agnes Schmirowski Winter. On May 26, 1972, in Lompoc, CA, she married Gerald Andrews who survives.
Also surviving are son Glen (Laura) Andrews of Highland, CA; mother Agnes Winter; and brother Gerhardt (Inge Beiler) Winter, both of Kaidere, Germany; and grandsons Zachary, Steven and Bradley Andrews.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska. Pallbearers included James Andrews, Dennis Andrews, Edward Andrews, David Andrews, Greg Martinson, and Larry Jenkins. Glen Andrews and Michael Andrews acted as honorary pallbearers.
