Ida H. Pfeiffer, 87, of Lakeland, FL, died Jan 10, 1997, at her residence.
Mrs. Pfeiffer had been a resident of Florida since 1958 and was a member of Kathleen United Methodist Church in Lakeland. She enjoyed sewing, making clown dolls, crocheting and volunteering in her church and for other charities.
She was born on May 14, 1909, in Ives, ND, to Gotlieb W. and Theresia Weiss Matt. On Jul 3, 1932, in Pinkney, she married Chester Pfeiffer, who preceded her in death on Jul 16, 1979.
Surviving are sons Russell L of Clinton Township and Robert L of El Cajon, CA; sisters Anna Kopera of Brighton and Elsie Hack from the Jackson area; 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughter Mary Lou Cheatwood; brother Otto Matt; and sisters Edna Plasters, Erna Edwards and Emma Bell.
Memorial services will be held Jan 21, at Kathleen United Methodist Church in Lakeland. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
