Ida E. Ehle of Lake City, formerly of Battle Creek, died Mon, January 24, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 86.
Mrs. Ehle was born December 2, 1913 in Bloomfield Township to Fred and Lulu (Lanning) Proctor. She married Guy Ehle Jun 1, 1932 in Bloomfield Township. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. Ehle was a homemaker and lived on a small farm in Bloomfield Township. She moved to Battle Creek in the early 1940s and returned to the Manton-Lake City area in 1971 after the death of her husband.
She attended the Battle Creek Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Harold Ehle of Battle Creek; stepson, Charles Ehle of Perry, FL; stepdaughter, Margaret Ruble of Fine Lake; her sister, Virgie Snyder of Lake City; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, Larry in 1948 and Everett in 1969; one granddaughter, Patty; five brothers, Everett, Cammron, Earl, Wilford, and Fred; and her parents.
Visitation is from 3-8pm today at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City and 3-8pm Thu at the Royal Funeral Home in Battle Creek.
Burial will be in Reese Cemetery in Springfield.
