Howard R. Goodale, 83, passed away suddenly on Mon, Dec 21, 1992 at home. He was born Apr 20, 1909 in Northville, the son of Jay and Bessie Goodale. During his high school years, he played football, basketball, and baseball.
On Dec 3, 1932 he married Avis M. Forshee in Belleville. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
The Howard Goodale family lived on Powell Rd in Plymouth, until 1971. He retired from Burroughs and moved with his wife to Kalkaska, where he enjoyed sharing life with his wife and children, watching his grandchildren grow and snowmobiling. Mr. Goodale was an avid fan of this grandchildren and loved his family very much. He was a wonderful husband, father, father in law, grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered and missed greatly by all of them.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Alberta, and his two brothers, James and Loren. Surviving are his wife, Avis, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Pauline; son Ronald; daughter and son in law, Karen and Don Roman; grandchildren, Michael, Robin, Toby, Robert Jr, Jason, Justin, Kevin, and Sarah; step grandchildren, Rebecca and Nicole Roman and one great granddaughter, Jessica Lynn. He is also survived by a sister Eva Mae Croft of Brighton.
Funeral services were held Thu, Dec 24, 1992 at the Kalkaska United Methodist Church. Rev. Dick Riley officiated. Cremation followed the service.
