Hiram Elzay, 74, Ada Route 3, prominent farmer and vice president of the Ada Farmers Exchange Co. for the past 15 years, died yesterday of a heart attack. Born, December 28, 1872 in Orange township, Hancock County, he was married January 14, 1897 to Huldah Hoy who survives. Mr. Elzay was a member of the Sugar Grove Methodist Church.
Survivors included his widow, four daughters, three siblings, 33 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The daughters were Mrs. Lillie McCafferty, Ada; Mrs. Anna Wright, Route 3 (Ada); Mrs. Helen Koontz, Bluffton, Route 1; and Mrs. Lavonne Magley, Fostoria. The Surviving siblings were brothers Charles of Toledo and Frank of Ada and sister Jame Letrick of Akron.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
