Hiram H. DeCamp, 82, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Feb 17, 1994, at McPherson Community Health Center in Howell.
Mr. DeCamp retired from American Aggregate Company in 1969, and moved to Kalkaska County from Brighton in 1970. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Mr. DeCamp was born n Radwell, Saskatchewan, Canada on Aug 13, 1911, son of the late Hiram and Gertrude Williams DeCamp. On Aug 28, 1931, in Forest Hill, he was married to Helen C. Farr who preceded him in death on Jun 15, 1989.
Surviving are one son, Chester Richard DeCamp of Perry; two daughters, Violet Ogg of Kalkaska, and Joan Whitney of Brighton; two sisters, Mary Burgard of St. Louis and Dorothy Jones of Alma; 17 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, one half brother, two step brothers, three sisters, two step sisters, and his step father, George Wallace.
Funeral services were held Mon, Feb 21, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Michael Steere, pastor of the Spencer Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in Oliver Township Cemetery, Kalkaska.
