Henry Van Hoye, 73, of Kalkaska passed away peace- fully on Aug. 19, 2003, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center - Long Term Care.
He was born June 29, 1930, in Christopher, III., the son of Leon and Mary (Villian) Van Hoye.
Henry married Norma Wagenschutz on July 27, 1957. in Kalkaska. She preceded him in death.
Henry lived in Kalkaska since he was 15 years old, moving with his parents from Christopher, III. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trains, looking for Petoskey stones and anything sports oriented. He loved to sing to his girls to wake them up when they were young. He was just a lot of fun to be around.
Surviving Henry are his daughters, Mary Ellen (Bill) Monhead of Kalkaska, Jeannie (Ted) Schoenemann of Kalkaska, Vicki Lee (Donnie) Vance of Rapid City and Bonnie Sue (Dennis) Syring of Munger; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Blanch Leach and Germaine Curtis, both of Kalkaska; and brothers, Emile Van Hoye of Denver, Colo., and Victor Van Hoye of Farmington, Mo.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Gunter. .
