Henry Clyde Sndyer, son of the late Ellsworth and Jane Snyder passed away Saturday afternoon, November 16, at a Traverse City hospital. He was born near Fenwick, Montcalm County, June 30, 1889, coming to Fife Lake with his parents at the age of six years. He lived on a farm in Springfield township until in the fall of 1940 when he moved to Fife Lake.
He was united in marriage to Martha Aldridge, September 30, 1909, and to this union six children were born. Mrs. Vernice Petersen of Greenville, Mrs. Thelma Hanna of Cedar Springs, Luther, Stanley and Wilbur of Springfield, one daughter, Gladys preceded him in death in 1930.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, five children, fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Battenfield.
The funeral was held at the Church of Christ in Springfield, Wednesday, November 20, with services conducted by Rev. Geo A. Tennant. Burial was in the family lot in Clark Cemetery.
