Henry Charles Ostun, 90, of Traverse City, passed away on Apr 26, 2002, at his home. He was born on Feb 24, 1912 in Kenyon, MN, the son of Helmer and Christina (Neslund) Ostun.
Henry was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp. He married Dorothy Reep on Feb 24, 1947, in Chicago. Henry was a member of the Teamsters. He and Dorothy moved from Allen Park to Kalkaska after retiring in 1973. Henry was a charter member of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
Henry is survived by his loving family, including his daughters, Sherry L Cabral of Williamsburg, Sharon L (Jerry) Beebe of Kalkaska, and Sandy F Endicott of Laurel, MN; sisters Val Burslie of Fertile, MN, and Hilda Habedank of Traverse City; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Henry was preceded in death by his dear wife Dorothy on Feb 7, 2001.
Visitation was Apr 29 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral service was conducted at Kalkaska United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Stark officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in behalf of Henry Charles Ostun to Munson Hospice or the Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
