Henrietta K. (Walter) Olson went to be with her Lord, September 16, 2014. She was born on Dec 26, 1913 to Henry and Anna (Kurth) Walter of Suttons Bay.
She married Albert Olson on May 11, 1935 and they spent the next 65 years together. They lived in Suttons Bay and then in Traverse City. She enjoyed time with her family, quilting, crocheting, gardening, playing cards and dancing to Polkas and Waltz’s.
She is survived by sons Harold (Kathy), Ernest (Barbara) and Jerry Olson; daughter, Delores Olson; sisters, Rose Miller and Teresa Morio; 9 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, son, Leonard, daughters, Barbara, Carol, and Amy Jane. Grandson, Phillip Olson; brothers, Lester (Alice), Ernie (Helen), Augusta (Doris), Leonard (Katheryn) Olson.
Visitation will be held Sun, Sept 21, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City with a rosary to be prayed at 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11 am with a visitation 1 hour prior also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery in Suttons Bay.
