Helen Abeare, 90, of Fife Lake, passed away May 24, 2008 at her home. She was born Nov 27, 1917 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Gaza and Julia (Kowasz) Paulasz.
Helen married Earl Abeare Apr 4, 1931 in Carlton, MI. In 1968, Helen and Earl moved from Lincoln Park to Fife Lake. Together they raised two sons.
She is survived by her sons, Earl J (Dorothy) Abeare Jr of Fife Lake, and Earnest J (Barb) Abeare of South Rockwood; grandchildren, Yvonne Robinson, Gary Abeare, James Abeare, and Jeffrey Abeare; eight great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and her siblings, George (Viola) Gasper of Maybee, Bill (Helen) Gasper of Carlton, and Julia Allaire of Mackinaw City.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Earl; and her brother John Gasper.
Visitation was Wed, May 28 from 6 to 8 pm with a rosary service at 7 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral service was Sat at 11 am at the funeral home with Reverend James Barrand of St Mary of the Woods officiating.
