The world lost a truly gentle soul on Mar 21, 2000, with the passing of Helen Osborn Wagner, 84, of Torch River.
Helen spent her retirement years on Torch River as a friend to all animals. Village Market employees will remember her as the lady who bough cart loads of bread to feed her wildlife friends all year long.
Helen was born in Kalkaska Dec 7, 1915, to James and Hazel Gill Osborn. She married Harold B. Wagner in Grayling Apr 4, 1939. On Jan 15, 1994, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband.
Surviving are brothers Earl (Arlene) Osborn of Hart, and Jack Osborn of Wyoming, MI; several nieces and nephews; and her true friends and neighbors Claire and Elton Lawrence, and Blain and Bridget Russell.
Graveside services will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
