Helen Marie Rustick, 82, of Kalkaska, passed away on August 8, 2002, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care. She was born on Jan 23, 1920, in Detroit, the daughter of Joseph and Petronella (Borowire) Dunaj.
Helen married Michael E Rustick on Apr 3, 1949, in Detroit. She worked as a press operator in the auto industry. During WWII Helen assisted in building tanks at the Cadillac Plant of Detroit. She enjoyed her family, friends, playing cards, music, and animals.
Helen is survived by her family, including her son, Michael E (Toni) Rustick; grandchildren, Michael E Rustic III, Deborah (Chris) Zolen, Diana Shafer, Daniel Rustick; great grandchildren, Michael E IV, Kayla, Alicia, Kathern, Evan, Darren, Warren, and Veronica.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael, on Feb 7, 1972; brothers, John Dunaj and William Dunaj; and sister, Jean Glowka.
A memorial service will be held on Sat, Aug 17, at 11 am at Level Acres Apartment Community Room. The Rev James Hagler of the Family of God Christian Fellowship will be officiating.
