Helen Hodge, 76, of Glen Lake died Jul 16 at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home in Cadillac after an extended illness.
The daughter of George and Etta Dorsey, she was born on Apr 2, 1899 at Glen Lake where she lived all her life.
Mrs. Hodge and her husband Charles have owned and operated Maple Lane Motel and Resort at Glen Lake their entire married life. She was a member of Empire Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband: three sons, Charles D. of Glen Lake, John R. of Frankfort, and Jerome A., of Cadillac; a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Aleta) Aylsworth of Empire; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Manning of Honor.
The funeral is scheduled for 1 pm Monday at Empire Methodist Church with the Rev. Alvin C. Doten officiating. Burial will be in Empire Maple Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at Martinson-Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City beginning at noon Saturday and continuing until Monday at 11 am; then at the church from noon until the time of service.
