Mrs. Howard (Hazel) Mowery, 83, dies of cancer, rites Wed.
Retired Kitco Company employee, Mrs. Howard (Hazel M) Mowery, who had been ill 15 months due to cancer died at 7:20pm Sat at her home at 210 W Wabash St.
Mrs. Mowery, who retired in 1971 from Kitco, was born November 22, 1902 in Petroleum and was a daughter of Isaac and Jennie Runyon Blair. Her marriage to Howard Mowery, who died in Jul 1977, took place Jul 22, 1922 in Wells County.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence I. Mowery of North Webster, Joe E. Mowery of Flagler Beach, FL, and Robert E. Mowery of Wayne, MI; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary Jane) Liggett of Naples, FL, and Mrs. Jerry (Mae) Frauhiger of Bluffton; two brothers, Richard Blair of NM and Robert Blair of Columbia City; a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Marie) Schreiner of Fort Wayne, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Calling at the Thoma Rich Funeral Home will be from 7-9pm today and from 2-5 and 7-9pm Tue. Services there at 10am Wed will be in charge of Rev. Larry Ray and burial will be in the Stahl Cemetery.
