Hazel Marie Fischer, 90, of Williamsburg, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at Bortz Health Care of Traverse City.
She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, on Aug. 2, 1914, the daughter of Emanuel and Ethel (Greenlee) Hagemeyer. On July 17, 1943, in Portage, Ohio, she married Alden Fischer. He preceded her in death Feb. 18, 1998.
Hazel was a homemaker, loved flower gardening, along with playing the piano. She was also a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Aileen (John) Hubbell; a sister, Laurene Shaffer; grandchildren, James (Mike) Hubbell, Jeff (Cathy) Hubbell, Renae (Mike) Stachowski, Joe (Carrie) Hubbell, Jerry Hubbell, Amber Hubbell, Jonathon Hubbell, Rilee Hubbell, Justin Hubbell and Nettie Hubbell; and six great-grandchildren, Greg Peters, Chelsea Greene, Caleb Hubbell, Emily Hubbell, Dylan Stachowski and Jack Hubbell.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Lyle, and a brother, Paul.
Funeral services were held Jan. 14, 2005 at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, with Pastor Doug Pederson officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Traverse City Chapel of Covell Funeral Homes.
