Mrs. B. W. Cotterman, 38, died at 6:30pm Wed in Memorial hospital, Lima, where she had been a medical patient since Apr 5. Mrs. Cotterman had been in ill health for the last five months. She formerly had lived in Ohio City but had made her home in Alger for five years. During that time she was superintendent of the Alger School.
Mrs. Cotterman had always been active in civic affairs. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Ohio City and a past matron of that organization. An active church worker, Mrs. Cotterman was treasurer of the Alger Methodist Episcopal church, president of the Ladies’ Aid society and a teacher in the primary department. She was active in PTA work and in the activities of the Scioto Garden Club.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Sat in the Alger ME Church by the Rev. Ralph Tucker, Pastor. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, five sisters, one brother and her parents. The sons are, Kent and Mack, both at home; the sisters, Mrs. John VanAtta, Mrs. Dale McCafferty, and Mrs. Wayne Wright all of Ada, Mrs. Laverne Magley, of Delaware, OH, and Mrs. Henry Koontz, of Bluffton; brother, Russell of Bluffton; her parents are Mr. and Mrs. W. Elzay of Ada.
