Hattie Lassa, 87, of St. Louis, passed away at 1:10 am, Wed, Nov 20, 2002 at her nephew's residence.
Hattie was born May 20, 1915, the daughter of Ezydor and Helen Makowski Halicki, in Pierz, Minnesota. He married Raymond W, Lassa, Jun 9, 1945 in Clinton, IL; he preceded her in death in 1993. Hattie was a homemaker and a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in St. Louis and she enjoyed playing bingo.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one niece and one nephew. She is survived by her sister, Stella (husband, Al) Weingand of Decatur; four nephews including Richard G (wife, Terry) Weingand of Springfield; four nieces and several cousins.
Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, from 9:30 to 10:30 am, Fri, Nov 22, 2002. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Fri, Nov 22, 2002 at St Joseph Catholic Church, with Reverend Thomas Holinga celebrant. Graveside service will be at 11 am, Sat, Nov 23, 2002, at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Illinois and Visiting nurses Association of Central Illinois, 720 North Bond St, Springfield, IL 62702.
