Harvey J Bozzi, Sr., 78, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Jun 3, 1997, at his home. 

Mr. Bozzi moved to Kalkaska County from Westland in 1974, following his retirement from Ford Motor Company. 

He served with the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684. He was also a member of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church, the Dearborn Masonic Lodge, Saladin Temple, the Kalkaska Lions Club, the Kalkaska Moose Lodge and the Kalkaska Police Reserve. he formerly served as president of the Coldsprings-Excelsior Taxpayers Association and a member of the CETA Fire Department. 

Born in Detroit on Sep 6, 1918, he was the son of Joseph and Delia (Paquette) Bozzi. He was married to Bee Brownfield in Detroit on Feb 28, 1935. She preceded him in death on Nov 29, 1970. On May 29, 1971, in Detroit, he married Mary Iler, who survives. 

Also surviving are sons Harvey Jr of Pitsford, NY, Jim of Allen Park and Robert of Reno, NV; daughter J. Bozzi Oster of San Diego, CA; stepson Keith Iler of St. Clair Shores; stepdaughter Patricia Crawford of Midland; sister Virginia Fortier of Los Angeles, CA; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. 

A Shrine memorial service was held Jun 7 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Funeral services were held Jun 8 at Wolfe Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Stanley officiating. Interment services were held Jun 9 at Ft Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. 

Local military rites were provided by Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684. 

Memorial gifts may be made to the Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
