Former Kalkaska resident Harry Myers, 89, of Gladwin, died Jan 12, 2004, at Gladwin Living Centre after a long illness.
He had lived in Gladwin since 1948.
Mr. Myers was born Aug 20, 1914, to Harry and Grace (Motz) Myers in Kalkaska. He married Ida LaVoye on Sep 25, 1934, in Harrison. She preceded him in death in 2002.
He was owner and operator of Myers Dairy in Kalkaska where he bottled and sold milk for several years.
He was also involved in missionary minister work for the pentecostal church.
Surviving Mr. Myers are his daughters, Joyce Hillman of Indianapolis, IN, Jean (Aaron) Muma of Gladwin and Jeraldine Haynak of Clare; sons, Delwin (Vonda) Myers and Gary (Ann) Myers, both of Gladwin; daughter in law, Wilma Myers-Oaks of Coleman; 26 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; and sister, Vera Crane of Rapid City.
Besides his wife, Ida, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry; daughter, Jan Lambert; great grandsons, Jason Mogg and Jason Owen-Lambert; son in law, Robert Haynak; and grandson, Eddy Muma.
Funeral services were held Jan 16, at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. Elder Stanley Muma officiated. Burial was at Grout Township Cemetery, Gladwin.
