Harry Earl Hudson, 79, of Kalkaska passed away on Wed, May 14, 2003, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
He was born on Oct 31, 1923 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Ivan and Viola (James) Hudson.
Harry was a veteran serving our country in the US Navy during WWII from 1943-45. He married Henrietta Skerkowski on Jul 29, 1972, in Saginaw. Harry worked as a carpenter his whole life and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Harry is survived by his wife, Henrietta; children, Joseph Earl (Diane) Hudson of Saginaw, Janice Evon (Cliff) Shephard of Saginaw, and Denise Elaine (Phil) Bedwell of Mancelona; step children, Nancy (Patrick) Kimble of Schoolcraft, Alan Craft of Kalamazoo; half sister, Delores (Richard) Christensen of Greenville; four grandchildren, including Cliff (Kelly) Shephard IV; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation was on Fri, May 16, from 4-9pm at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral service was on Sat at 11 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Stark officiating. Military honors were performed by Kalkaska VFW Post No 8684 and the Beebe Sherwood Post No 480 of the American Legion.
Memorials may be given on behalf of Hudson to the American Cancer Foundation or Munson Medical Center. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
