Harrison C. Dorsey, 78, of Bay Shore, died March 14, 1991, at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey.
Funeral is scheduled 10:30 am Monday, Mar 18, at the Stone Funeral Home, Petoskey. The Rev. John Carr of the Alanson Lakeview Church of the Nazarene will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Dorsey was born May 9, 1912, at Walloon Lake, the son of Arthur and Alberta (Kitchen) Dorsey. He grew up in Petoskey and attended Petoskey Schools.
On Oct 16, 1937, he married the former Ethel Canell in Petoskey. In 1952, he married Ethel Glassford in Charlevoix.
Mr. Dorsey had been employed with Michigan Maple Block Co for several years. He also worked as an oiler on the J.B. John Cement boat for several years. Mr. Dorsey had been employed at Little Traverse Hospital in Petoskey for 20 years retiring in 1975.
He is survived by one son, Robert Dorsey of Broken Bow, NE; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Elaine) Bates of Alanson; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Sanders of Ocala, FL and Mrs. Albert (Carol) Osborn of Petoskey. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn, in 1986.
