Harriette Butterfield Lynch, 81, of Petoskey, died Apr 19, 2002, at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey.
Mrs. Lynch was born May 13, 1920 in Curtis to David and Hope (Ackley) Loucks. She married David N Butterfield in Detroit in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1969.
On Jul 30, 1970, she married the Rev Athel J Lynch, pastor of the Weidman Circuit of United Methodist Church. They were united in marriage at the Garrett Seminary Chapel in Evanston, IL, in the presence of 104 Methodist ministers. Harriette was a member of the Weidman Methodist Church and also the Methodist Church in Kalkaska where she lived before moving to Petoskey.
Surviving are stepson John (Debbie) Lynch; sisters, Hilda (Alvin) Green of Chase; sisters in law, Phylis Loucks and Jeanette Loucks, both of Charlevoix; two step grandchildren of Jacksonville, FL, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by brothers John, Jean, and Norman, and sisters, Violet Pardee and Vivian Bugg.
Funeral services were Apr 22 at the Moorsetown United Methodist Church. Rev. Ward Pierce officiated. Burial was in Stittsville Cemetery.
