Harold M. Snyder, 68, of Kalkaska passed away on March24, 2006, surrounded by his family.
Born Aug. 20, 1937 in Fife Lake, he was the son of Stanley A. and Maxine L. (Lanning) Snyder.
Harold lived and worked in Fife Lake area for more than 40 years. He was a carpenter and built many residential and commercial buildings. Harold also operated adult foster care homes in the Fife Lake area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, looking for mushrooms, working with wood for crafts or just splitting it for heat. Harold took great pride in his work. He loved his family and spending time with them. His grandchildren were his “Best Pals” and that was important to him.
Surviving Harold are his children, David W. (Debra) Snyder, Lorie A. (Steve) Stacy both of fife lake, and Fern M. Snyder of Kalkaska; his mother, Maxine L. Williams of Kalkaska; grandchildren, Jennifer (Randy) Hoy, Russell Stacy, Stephen Stacy, Brandon M. Crowley, David T. Crowley, and Courtney L. Crowley, great grandchildren, Jason Stacy and Abigail Stacy; brother Stanley (Ruth Ann) Snyder of Kalkaska; many nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his father Stanley A. Snyder.
