Harold J Luce, age 88, of Adrian, passed away Sun, Jul 22, 2012, at the Emeritus Nursing Home in Bradenton, FL. He was born Feb 7, 1924, in Blissfield, to Harold and Ilah (Ries) Luce. On Aug 16, 1947, he married Donna Soneff and she survives. Harold was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army. He and Donna were owners of Bel Air Car Wash and Horn’s Pure Oil and Wrecker Service. Harold was a member of the American Legion Post #97 and the Adrian Moose Lodge #1031. He raced stock cars when he was younger and loved NASCAR Racing, especially Jeff Gordon #24 and Indy Cars. After retiring as a truck driver from Uarco, he also enjoyed traveling North and to Vegas and spent the last few winters with his wife, son and family in Florida. He was a member of the Jasper Bible Church. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his loving wife of 64 years, Donna, he is survived by a son, Ron (Karen) Luce, Sr. of Parrish, FL; two grandsons, Ron Luce of Horton, MI and Brandon (Sarah) Luce of FL; four great grandchildren, Laruen and Holden Luce and Aiden and Elijah Luce. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ricky at birth. He came from a very large, loving family. Funeral Home, Adrian with Reverend Bruce Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the VFW Annis-Fint Post #1584. Visitation will be held on Fri from 11am until 12:45pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
