Harold L Robinson, 71, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Feb 8, 1997, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Robinson moved to Kalkaska in 1971 from Brighton. He served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a retired real estate agent. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and collecting antiques.
Mr. Robinson was born in Fenton on Oct 2, 1925, to Raymond and Mary (Doerr) Robinson. On Dec 28, 1946, in Fenton, he married Mary Virginia Trollman, who survives.
Also surviving are sons Al (Sarah) Robinson of Mt. Pleasant and Mike Robinson of Kalkaska; four daughters, Sherry (Ken) Luttermoser of Manton, Kathy (Dan) Wolf of Greenville, Mary (Mike) Gaudiello of Highland and Chris Rowell of Kalkaska; four brothers, Emanuel of Hot Springs, AR, Robert of Fenton, and Burton and Paul, both of Rapid City, SD; sisters Lillian Culver of Fowlerville and Ruth Ott of Holt; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, David and Wilfred, preceded him in death.
A memorial mass was celebrated Feb 11 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Jim Holtz officiated.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.
