Harold F. Gerou, 69, of Rapid City, formerly of Flint, died Mon, Jul 4, 1994, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Born on May 2, 1925, in Unionville, he was the son of Frank and Mary Smith Gerou. He married Margie Kipp in Flint on Jul 8, 1946.
Mr. Gerou moved to Rapid City from Flint in 1981. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of the V.F.W. and the Arrowhead Vets Club of Flint. For many years he played men's fast-pitch-softball in Flint.
Surviving are his wife, Margie; three sons, Harold Gerou of Buckley, and Anthony and Bucky Gerou both of Rapid City; four daughters, Pamela Manchester, Frances Schuba, and Lorena Deater all of Rapid City, and Paulette Hall of Flint; one sister, Dorothy Comment of Rapid City; 22 grandchildren; one great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, brothers in law, and sisters in law.
One sister, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Fri, Jul 8, 1994, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Jerry Rupe officiated. Burial was in Clearwater Twp. Cemetery, Kalkaska County with rites by Land O'Lakes Post 8684.
