Harold B. Wagner, 81, of Rapid City, died Sat, Jan 15, 1994, at his home.
Mr. Wagner was a resident of DeWitt until 1975, when he moved to Rapid City. He received a B.S. degree from Western Michigan University, and managed Civilian Conservation Corps camps in northern Michigan during the depression era. He later earned an M.A. degree from Michigan during the depression era. He later earned an M.A. degree from Michigan Sate University and was employed by the Michigan Department of Education prior to his retirement. After moving to northern Michigan he was president of the Torch Bridge Court Association, and was instrumental in several court improvements. His hobbies included golf, traveling, and boating.
Born in Ottawa Count on May 11, 1912, he was the son of Fred and Ora Bowen Wagner. On Apr 4, 1939, in Grayling, he was married to Helen Osborn who survives. Also surviving are one brother, Clare (Mary Jane) Wagner of Jenison; one sister, Mrs. Jerry (Marion) DeHaan of Jenison; and several nieces and nephews.
One brother, Norman, preceded him in death.
Burial will be in the spring in Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska. Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
