Grover C. Dennis, 78, of Fife Lake, passed away on Mon, Dec 31, 2007, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. He was born on Mar 25, 1929, in Kalkaska, the son of the late Floyd and Pearl (Mockerman) Dennis.
Grover was a veteran serving our country during the Korean War in the US Army. He married Helen Magee on Jul 3, 1953, in Grand Haven. Grover retired from Consumer Powers Company in 1991 after 38 years. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing pocket games, hunting, fishing, and the "great outdoors."
Surviving Grover is his wife, Helen of 54 years; his children, Deborah L (Dennis) Novak of Madison Heights, Robin S (Gary) Horle of Hazel Park, and Luwana "Kim" (Allen) Langley of Ferndale; 10 grandchildren, Donavan, Andrea, Alexander, Gary, Brian, Erin, Jill, Matthew, Keshia, and Patrick; 10 great grandchildren; his siblings, Gordon C. (Mary Lou) Dennis, and Clell I (Marge) Dennis all of Kalkaska, and Gladys M Dennis of Casselberry, FL.
The funeral service was held on Sat, Jan 5, at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. Major Bruce Jennings of the Salvation Army officiated.
