Grace B. Hogerheide, 89, passed away peacefully on Mon, Oct 31, 2006. She is the beloved mother of Pat (Gordon) Kniss of Grand Marais, Don Hogerheide and Steven (Marri) Hogerheide, all of South Boardman, Linda (Larry) Belcher and Karla Hadley, all of Williamsburg; loved grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren; and beloved sister of Hazel Beach of Flint, and Beulah Ames of Midland.
Mrs. Hogerheide was born on Dec 13, 1916, in Gaylord, the daughter of the late Harry and Hanna (Jacobson) Swanson. She married Carl Hogerheide on Jun 30, 1938, in Gaylord. A resident of South Boardman since 1936, Mrs. Hogerheide was also a teacher at South Boardman school. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and mother, bowling, crocheting, baking pies, and reading.
Mrs. Hogerheide was a member of the South Boardman United Methodist Church Eastern Star and South Boardman Women's Auxiliary.
Preceding Mrs. Hogerheide in death was her husband, Carl; five sisters and four brothers.
The funeral was held on Fri, Nov 3, with the Rev. Howard Seaver of the South Boardman United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was at Boardman Township Cemetery.
