Golide L (Zimmerman) Gaylord, 76, passed away peacefully on Aug 14, 2008.
She was born on Feb 10, 1932, in Rapid City, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Grace Zimmeran. Goldie married the late John Gaylord on Apr 28, 1950.
She enjoyed reading, riding horses, fishing, and cross country skiing. She also enjoyed seeing the country on many cross-country driving trips. But, most close to her heart was being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Surviving Goldie are her children: John W. (Bonny) Gaylord, James C. (Isabel) Gaylord, and Michael R (Dale) Gaylord all of Rapid City, and Patrick L (Michele) Gaylord of Alden; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchidlren and her brothers and sisters, Glennis Allen, Leone Bagnel, Benjamin (Edith) Zimmerman, Leo (Nancy) Zimmeran, Alberta (Jim) Zeman, and Wanda (Dan) Tuller.
Preceding Goldie in death was her husband John in 2003, and one sister, Jean Guy.
Cremation has been performed by Mortensen Funeral Homes.
A celebration of Goldie's life will be held at the Gaylord farm Sep 6, 2008, beginning at noon. Family, friends, and neighbors are invited.
