Glennis Faye Sakuta, 63, of Kalkaska passed away suddenly on Sat, Sep 23, 2006, with her loving husband by her side. Born on Apr 2, 1943, in Pontiac, she was the daugther of the late Evert and Hazel (Atkins) Pridemore.
Glennis graduated from Pontiac Central High School. She married Robert Sakuta on Jan 20, 1962, in Brown City. Glennis was the owner of GFS Consulting Co in Kalkaska.
Glennis had a passion for cooking, croqueting, and one arm bandits. She loved her family with all her heart.
Glennis was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Surviving Glennis is her husband, Robert, of 44 years; her children, Rober D. (Elyse) Sakuta of Clarkston, Rodney L Sakuta of Kalkaska, and Lynnette J (Neal) McClelland of Waterford; grandchildren, Joshua, Justice, Jessica Sakuta, Mitch McClelland and Nicole McClelland; her stepmother, Mary Pridemore; siblings, Barbara (Bill) Welch of AZ and Brenda Freed of Fort Myers, FL; and her sister in law, June Pridemore of Oxford.
Preceding Glennis in death are her parents; and her brother, Dwayne Pridemore.
Visitation was scheduled for Mon, Sep 25, from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska, and from 11 am to 1 pm on Tue, Sep 26, at the Bear Lake Christian Church.
The funeral service was then slated for at 1 pm on Tue at the Bear Lake Christian Church, with Pastor David Rosenburg officiating.
