Glenda Arlene (Johnson) McIntire, 77, went home to be with her Lord early Mon, May 14, 2012. She was lovingly cared fro and touched the lives of many at Munson Medical Center and Munson Hospice House. Glenda spent the last week of her life making her children laugh, telling stories of their youthful exploits, and eating every one of her favorite foods.
Her last week was made more special because she was blessed with the presence of all four of her children, plus grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family includes son and daughter in law, Michael and Kristy McIntire of South Carolina; daughter and son in law Bonnie (McIntire) and Bryan DePue of Southern Michigan, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; daughter and son in law Kitty (McIntire) and John Bucholtz of California; and daughter Wendy McIntire of Northern Michigan, and two grandchildren. She was the daughter of Vercil and Margaret Johnson of Mancelona, MI.
A celebration of her life will take place Wed, May 16, 2012 at Mortensen Funeral Home, 205 W. State St in Mancelona. All of her friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Faith Reformed Church 1139 E. Front St in Traverse City to support their ministry to hospital and and hospice patients.
