Glen R. Dewar, 74, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Jan 13, 2000, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Dewar was born in Harrisville on Aug 19, 1925, the son of Hector and Neva Nevin Dewar. He married Janet Neihardt in Traverse City on Aug 23, 1973.
A resident of Kalkaska since 1971, he had been employed by Fuelgas Company for 30 years prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the Kalkaska Moose Lodge. He enjoyed crafts and woodworking.
Surviving are wife, Janet; sons Doug (Sue) of Clio, Jeff (Diane) of Flint, Tim (Alysia) of Ojai, CA, and Raymond (Stacy) of San Pedra, CA; daughters Gloria (Lawrence) Polzin of Montrose, Gail (Fred) Gatica of Henderson, NV, and Linda Dewar of Okemos; stepson Terry (Kim) Neihardt of South Boardman; stepdaughter Janice (Robert) Horton of South Boardman; brothers Jim (Ruth) of Alpena and Allen (Stella) of Mount Morris; sisters Lena (Jim) Jobin and Florence (Bob) Ford, both of Mount Morris; 26 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Jan 17 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Mark McCool officiated.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
