Glen M. Sieting, 78, of South Boardman, passed away on Nov. 9. 2002, at his home. He was born Nov. 23. 1923, in South Bend, Ind., the son of Earl and Celia (Smith) Sieting.
Glen was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country during WWII as a medic in the 316 Station Hospital. He married Genevieve Gauthier on Jan. 14. 1961. in Union Lake. Glen was a building contractor in South Lyon for 27 years. Glen and Gen moved to South Boardman in 1974. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church
Glen is survived by his loving family including Gen, his wife of 41 years; children Charles J. (Deborah) Sieting of South Boardman, Jacqueline (Frank) Rutherford of Traverse City. Antoinette (Brian) Bohnet of Mancelona, Colette (Dennis) Hannon of Kalkaska, Glenn (Sandra) Sieting of South Boardman, Julie A. (Kevin) Wagenschutz of Kalkaska, Jocelyn (Bill Greer) Witowski of South Boardman; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister Ada (Arnold) Childers of Ann Arbor; brother Keith (Dorothy) Sieting of Luzerne.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Carl Sieting in 1998.
The Rosary was said at Wolfe Funeral Home on Monday. Mass of Christian burial was held on Nov. 12 at St. Mary of the Woods in Kalkaska with the Rev. Dale Magoon officiating.
Memorial may be given in behalf of Glen Sieting to the Right to Life in Grand Traverse County.
