Gladys Marguerite Krumlauf, 81, of Kalkaska, passed away on Aug 8, 2002, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care. She was born on Nov 3, 1920, in South Boardman, the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Johnson) Hall.
Gladys was a graduate from Kalkaska High School in June 1938. She married Clayton Krumlauf on Aug 29, 1939. Gladys was a member of the Kalkaska Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8684. She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed baking, gardening, and making quilts.
Gladys was the loving mother of her children, Russell D Krumlauf of Mancelona, Vernon D (Mary) Krumlauf of Kalkaska, Donald N (Karen) Krumlauf of Kalkaska, Dorothy W Bell of Kalkaska, Alice "Lorraine" Bell of Kalkaska, Duane A Krumlauf of Kalkaska, and Martha M (Bob) Stevens of St. Ignace; 16 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister Ruth Etzcorn of South Boardman and Wilda (Howard) Babcock of Rockford.
Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clayton, in 1986 and her beloved daughter, Janet Marie Krumlauf in 1950.
A graveside service was conducted Aug 12 at Lodi Cemetery in Orange Township. The Rev Matt Moser of Calvary Baptist Church officiated.
