Mrs. Gladys Stampfler (Nee: Hower), age 83, passed away at her residence on Dec 24, 1991. She was born on Mar 22, 1908 in Lake City, MI and had been a resident of Racine for the last 20 years. She was married to Glenn L Stampfler on Oct 24, 1930. Surviving are two daughters and one son in law, Wilma (LeRoy) Autenrieth of Greenville, IL, Eloise “Elle” Dargin of Racine; nine grandchildren, Sharon (Randy) Schaeffer, Karen (Dave) Pederson, Cindy (Ron) Eschmann, John “Dale” (Rebecca) Avis, Kathaleen Dargin, Carol (Bill) Wilcoxen, Cheryl (Carl) Whitby, Kevin (Sharon) Autenrieth, and Ann (Faron) Dalton; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Leonard (Alice) Hower of Lake City, MI; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Stampfler on Feb 24, 1972 and also by a brother, Doc. Funeral Services will be held at the Hanson Funeral Home this Thursday evening, Dec 26, 1991, at 7 pm with Dr. MA. Miritz officiating. Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek, MI. There will be a visitation this evening from 4 pm until the time of Services at 7pm at the Funeral Home. Memorials to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer suggested.
