Gladys Felgenhauer, age 99, passed away Sat, Nov 11, 1995, at Lincoln Lutheran Home. Mrs. Felgenhauer was born in Racine, Mar 5, 1896, and lived here all her lifetime. Her parents were pioneer residents, Mae Stevens Grand and Irving Baird Grant.
She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, past President and past District President of the American Legion Auxiliary to Post 76, life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and member of St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary. In 1922, she married G. Clayton Westover, who preceded her in death in 1946. In 1954, she was married to Herbert H. Felgenhauer, who preceded her in death in 1958. She is survived by her stepson, James (Ruth) Felgenhauer of Racine; step grandchildren, Paula (Michael) Silich, Patrice (Rev. Nathan) Pope, Peter (Carol) Felgenhauer; cousins, Ruth Gausche, David Gausche, both of Racinie, Dr. Charles (Renee) Gausche of Racine and Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held at Mound Cemetery Chapel, 1147 West Boulevard, Mon, Nov 20, 1995, 2 pm. Wit Rev. Fred Hofer officiating. Interment will follow. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Mound Cemetery Chapel on Mon from 12 noon until the time of service.
