Gertrude Virginia Cox, 73, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Mar 19, 1998, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Cox moved to Kalkaska County in 1985 from Inkster. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing the organ.
Mrs. Cox was born in Detroit on May 26, 1924, to Walter and Alice Boardman Brown. She married George Cox in Dearborn on Jul 15, 1945. He preceded her in death on Feb 6, 1989.
Her son Clifford and brother Gerald Brown also preceded her in death.
Surviving are sister Peggy Lindsey in Dearborn and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Mar 24 at the R.G. and G.R. Harris Funeral Home, Garden City. Rev. Roy Forsyth officiated. Burial was in Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.
