Gerry Dean Kenel, 46, of Ft. Ogden, FL, formerly of Flint and Kalkaska, passed away Oct 9, 2004.
He was the son of Walter and Rita (Tobias) Kenel, born Jul 23, 1958, in Flint. Dean worked on the mechanic line assembly for General Motors for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding Harley's, racing stock cars at Auto City Speedway, and being with friends. Dean was a loving father who was adventurous, easy going, and had a great smile.
Dean will be greatly missed by his wife of four years, Kim; father, Walter of Kalkaska; sons, Jeremy (Bonnie) Kenel of Flint and Jason Kenel of Tampa, FL; step son, Jack (Jennifer) Ridley of Flint; stepdaughter, Sarena Ridley of Flint; brothers, Rick (Denise) Kenel of MI, and Rod (Robin) Kenel of Jackson; sister, Lynn Ann (Al) Stiff of Otisville; trhee grandchildren, Brianna, Alexis and Brandon, and many loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine, and mother, Rita.
A memorial service in celebration of Dean's life will be held at a later date in Flint. The family requests memorial donations be made to Make a Difference.
