Gerald S. Antaya II, 35, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Oct 14, 1996, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Kalkaska.
Mr. Antaya had been a resident of Kalkaska County since 1975, and had attended Kalkaska High School. At the time of his death he was employed by WellTech, Inc. He enjoyed boating and playing pool.
Mr. Antaya was born in Pontiac on Dec 7, 1960, to Gerald and Annette Blanchard Antaya. On Feb 24, 1979, in Kalkaska he married Kathy Weighman who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Eric, Gerald III, Casey, and Alexander, all at home; one daughter, Lacey, at home; his parents, Gerald Antaya of Alden and Annette Campbell of Rapid City.; two brothers, Edward and Keith both of Alden; one sister, Sherry Wilson of Alden; and his mother in law, Laura Weighman of Kalkaska.
One son, Jacob, preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thu, Oct 17, 1996,a t St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Kalkaska. Father James Holtz officiated. Burial was in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
A scripture service was held Wednesday at the Wolfe Funeral Home.
