Services for Mr. Gerald “Jerry” L. Stuck, age 78 of Mineola, TX are scheduled for 5pm Sat, Sep 26, 2015 in the First Christian Church of Mineola with Rev. Rick Son officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale. Mr. Stuck died Wed, Sep 23, 2015 in the Hospice of East Texas HomePlace in Tyler. He was born in Saginaw, MI on Sep 14, 1937 to the late Lester William and Marion Elizabeth (Morrison) Stuck and served in the US Navy. Mr. Stuck retired after 30 years with GE/Trane and was a member of the First Christian Church in Mineola. He loved to play golf, go pheasant hunting with his brothers and deer and dove hunting with his sons and grandsons. Mr. Stuck also enjoyed his Men’s Ministry, singing in the church choir, watching football, baseball, and basketball, and bird watching. He always has a quick wit and shared lots of humorous sayings. He is preceded in death by his brother, Lethal “Lee” Stuck and granddaughter, Mary Anna Smith, and Mother in Law & Father in Law, Elmer & Lola Belle Arnold.
Mr. Stuck is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Mary A. Stuck of Mineola, TX; son & daughter in law, Mark & Jeanne Stuck of Bella Vista, Ark.; daughters & sons in law, Beth & Roger Averitt of Lindale, TX, Melissa & Byron Smith of Driftwood, TX, and Sandra & John Jesberger of Garland, TX; brother & Sister in law, Winfield “Brownie” & Mary Alice Stuck of Traverse City, MI; sister, Marilyn Thompson of Grand Rapids, MI; brother in law, Tom Arnold of Oakville, TX; sister in law Mary Lou Stuck of Houghton Lake, MI; grandchildren, Makenzie Grisham, April Hughey, Daniel Averitt, Austin Averitt, Curtis Smith and Jack Smith; step grandchildren, Shannon Goad, Sean Felt, Adam Jesberger and Dana Jesberger; step great grandchildren, Ashley Goad Cassadore, James Goad, Joseph Goad, Timothy Goad, Megan Goad, Zachary Felt, and Krystan Felt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Averitt, Austin Averitt, Curtis Smith, Jack Smith, Randy Stuck and Joe Whitten.
