Gerald Lee Adair, 77, of Perry, passed away on Sun, Mar 3, 2019 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Funeral services will be held on Wed, Mar 6, 2019 at 11 am at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Perry Chapel. Pastor Tim Harmon will officiate, with burial to follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tue, Mar 5, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.
Gerald was born on Nov 21, 1941 in Perry to the late Raymond and Kathleen (Benson) Adair. He graduated from Perry High School and spent his working life at Motor Wheel in Lansing. On Dec 27, 1960, Gerald married Angeline Ann Jagodzinski in Webberville, and together they would raise three children.
Gerald was an outdoors kind of guy, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and nephews, there was also a lot of good memories made at deer camp in Houghton Lake. He spent time in the National Guards, he and Angeline enjoyed trips to Gulf Shores, Alabama to see the Blue Angels, and Traverse City. He enjoyed mowing the grass, watching the History Channel, and westerns. He liked to cook for his family, especially for the holidays.
Gerald is survived by his three children; Brian Adair, Lynette (Scott) Rathbun, Rodney (Susan) Adair, and his granddaughters, Rebecca and Kaitlyn Rathbun.
He was predeceased by his wife, Angeline on December 15, 2017, his granddaughter, Amanda Rathbun, and his siblings; Margaret Wright, Don Adair, and Jackie Brookins.
