Gerald L. Nofsinger, 63, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Feb 27, 1994, at the V.A. Medical Center in Ann Arbor. 

Mr. Nofsinger resided in Navarre, OH until moving to Kalkaska County in 1975. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Amvets Post 114 in Elk Rapids. 

Mr. Nofsinger was born on Sep 17, 1930, in Navarre, OH, to John and Emelia Wearstler Nofsinger. He was married to Kathryn Midcap in Navarre on Sep 3, 1963. She survives. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son Gerald T. Nofsinger of Santa Ana, CA; two daughters, Susan Hunt and Becky Bruneel both of Kalkaska; one stepson, Dale (Butch) Midcap of Beach City, OH; one step daughter, Gail Bryson of Sterling Heights; two brothers, John Nofsinger of Kalkaska and Milton Nofsinger of Navarre, OH; six sisters, Loretta Couts of Port Washington, OH, Leona Lautenschlager of Massilon, OH, Rose Whitmore, Cleo Kilgore, and Margaret Nofsinger all of Navarre, OH, and Pauline Mottice of Kalkaska; six grandchildren; and three step grandchildren. 

One daughter, Pamela Sue, and two brothers, Paul and Walter Nofsinger, preceded him in death. 

Funeral services were held Thu, Mar 3, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Paul Linehan officiated. Burial will be in Excelsior Township Cemetery in the spring. 

Military rites were under the auspices of Land O'Lakes Post 8684, V.F.W.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Land O'Lakes Post 8684.
