A memorial service for Gerald Harry Riedl, 49, Chapman formerly of Junction City, will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Louis S. Mattas of St. Xavier Catholic Church officiating. Mr. Riedl died Saturday, March 4 at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene. Cremation has been planned.
He was born June 3, 1939 in Rochester, NY, where he was raised and attended school. On May 17, 1974 he married Martha LaGabed Hasbrouck in Rochester and they came to Junction City in 1979. He had worked for Mac’s Restaurant in Junction City and Tricia’s Truck Stop before moving to Chapman several months ago. He was presently employed at the Hitching Post in Abilene.
Survivors include his wife, Martha of the home; three brothers, William Riedl, Bonita Springs, FL, Marty Riedl and Fred Riedl, both of Rochester.
Family and friends may visit after the memorial service Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
